We include a full filter service including lateral replacement. The picture as shown above is the ‘inside’ view of a sand filter, once the sand has been removed. All sand from filters must be disposed to an approved EPA Site, as it is considered as contaminated waste!. The sand is used and contaminated; it must be disposed of according to the guidelines.

Also due to the high content of body fats inside the filters, we recommend an Internal clean and degrease If sand was apparent in the pool in the past, this is due to broken laterals. They allow sand back to the pool via the return lines. Also the filters are considered a ‘confined space’; therefore we must also comply with OH &S plus Work Cover guidelines to complete this job.
